For years, access rights in Utrecht were managed manually, inconsistently, and with high error potential. Access cards of former employees remained in circulation, roles were poorly defined, and IT-independent processes were lacking.

The goal was to implement a centralized, user-friendly, and auditable solution that could reliably manage both digital and physical access – while remaining flexible enough to handle exceptions like interns or urgent access revocations.
